Mid-western University also known as MU. MU was established on June 17, 2010 A.D. It is located in Surkhet. “The main motto of MU is promoting access to higher education”. It is an autonomous and public higher education institution whose mission is to serve the Nepalese people and enrich the global learning community by expanding the advantages of higher education. Although the Mid-Western University is still in the development stage and has a long way to go before it is fully operational, the university still receives great political support from existing political parties, and most importantly, it has received extensive enthusiastic participation and support from local people.
